Network First, Business Will Follow

I am a successful online marketer who operates on the premise of networking first. (Of course, my success isn’t going to be the same as yours. You will probably have lower or higher expectations than I do.) What do I mean by “networking first”? I mean to create relationships online instead of being a pushy marketer. I am passive and use blogs to attract my audience.

This is the area where many people fail in marketing online. I see a lot of newbies promote their company and products in my inboxes with claims like make “$50,000 in a month!” Step back and really read what you write and see if you can believe it. If you can’t, you have a problem.

This is the wrong approach, and just because you see this behavior a lot online, you shouldn’t imitate it. If you play your cards right, even a newbie marketer can attract the attention of a sophisticated online marketer without even knowing it. This is what happened to me a few times with PeopleString. It is only after you see your MLM team grow under a certain team member, under you, that you realize that you did. This is the power of the Internet. It isn’t the same as you visiting a well established business in the offline world, you will not even get thru the door!

This is my message to you for the new year. I hope you read and re-read it and take it to heart, this attitude will go a long way for you in your online business endeavor in the coming year and years.
